Safety Railings for Local Senior Widow
September 7th, 2024
I’m behind on my posting, but we’ve been busy lately. Here’s a project that we finished up today for a local senior widow. Her railings were falling down and really unsafe, so we rebuilt them. She was extremely happy with the outcome. We also adding a railing down to the basement.

Recycle and Reuse!
September 7th, 2024
We were able to reuse a wheelchair lift that we installed a few years ago for a local family. The family didn’t need it anymore and donated it back to us, so we installed it for a disabled veteran. I love it when we can reuse equipment.
The disabled veteran was relying on a series of grab bars and rickety steps to transfer from his motorized wheelchair inside the house to a wheelchair in the garage. He was over the moon happy with the installation.

Small Home Improvement Projects for Local Senior
September 12th, 2024
We did a bunch of small projects at a local senior’s home yesterday (cleaned out her gutters, installed grab bars, fixed the back deck, fixed her screen door, etc.). When she told us that she had fallen coming up the front steps, we had to do something to make them safer for her to get in and out of her home. We went back this morning and installed new railings on her front steps. They turned out great and she was thrilled.
Wheelchair Ramp for Veteran Homeowner and Wife
September 19th, 2024
This veteran homeowner and his wife, who is wheelchair bound, were struggling to get in and out of the home safely, so they asked us for help. We had to manually break up the concrete and brick steps and expand the egress out the back door to enable us to build a wheelchair ramp over to the driveway. We added a small deck instead of the standard platform so the homeowners can sit outside. It turned out great and the homeowners are thrilled. Thanks to the Agency for Community Transit for your continued support.

Custom Fit Aluminum Ramp for Local Senior
September 24th, 2024
This homeowner spent several months in a nursing home before coming back home. Her health care provider called us to see if we could help with a safe way in and out of her home. We were able to order and custom fit an aluminum ramp to fit her exact needs. We also trimmed back the overgrown bushes to allow for her to use the sidewalk.
Thanks to the Agency for Community Transit (ACT) for your continued support. In fact, the ACT came and picked the homeowner up for dialysis while we were working on it. It worked great and the homeowner is delighted.

Wheelchair Ramp Repair and Painting!
September 25th, 2024
Thanks to Abraham from the Gateway Family-Church for helping out with this Veteran’s wheelchair ramp project. We installed new balusters and railings on her porch and wheelchair ramp earlier this year. She asked us if we could help her get it painted so that everything matched. It turned out great.
