Total Front Deck and Wheelchair Ramp Replacement

August 5th, 2023

BEFORE

AFTER

We finished up a really big project today…Thanks to Xavier, Xander, Tony and Aidan for all of your hard work and dedication. It turned out great. We weren’t sure what we were getting into when we first started taking the old wheelchair ramp apart, but we made it a lot sturdier with new decking and rebuilding the framework in multiple places. As always, thanks to the Agency for Community Transit for your continued support.

Quick Projects: Steps and Ramps

August 8th, 2023

We did a couple of quick projects in Alton this morning. A homeowner’s steps were rotting, and she needed handrails for safety. The second project needed a small ramp to help get their wheelchair-bound mom safely in and out of the house. Thanks to Aidan for helping out.

A LARGE Wheelchair Ramp & A Visit from the Mayor!

August 19th-23rd, 2023

BEFORE

AFTER

It was HOT the past couple of days, but we were able to finish up a big wheelchair ramp project today in Madison IL. we had some students from SIUE come out and help us. We also had the Madison Mayor, John Hamm come out and told us how much he appreciated everyone and everything that we’re doing to help within the City of Madison. The Mayor even bought pizza for everyone! The SIUE students pitched in and did an amazing job.

So many folks to thank: Aidan, SIUE Students, Mayor John Hamm, Tim Monroe, and as always, the Agency for Community Transit. The Mayor was so happy with us completing this project that he wanted to do a ribbon cutting ceremony. If that happens, we’ll post some more pictures of that. For now, stay cool.

TWO Wheelchair Ramps in ONE Day!

August 31st, 2023

We finished up TWO wheelchair ramps today. We started one on Friday (when it was 112 degrees) worked on it Saturday (when it was raining) and again on Sunday. We started a new wheelchair ramp on Monday and got them both done today. Thanks to the great folks at Olin Winchester, Aidan, Tim and Jay for helping out with both of these big projects. As always, thanks to the Agency for Community Transit for your continued support.
