Deck Rebuild for Local Veteran with Help from Gateway Family Church

December 10th, 2022

BEFORE

AFTER

HUGE thanks to the great folks at Gateway Family Church for coming out and working to rebuild a deck for a local veteran. It was cold and, at times it was misting, but they didn’t want to leave until the deck was completely redone. It turned out great and the homeowner is thrilled.

“Thank you to our volunteers for serving with our outreach, Honoring Our Veterans. We want to especially thank Rebuilding Together Southwest Illinois for opening this opportunity to us. Thank you also to our very own veteran, Anthony Taylor, for volunteering on his birthday to bless his fellow veteran.”

Our Last Big Project of 2022!

December 17th, 2022

BEFORE

AFTER

It was very, very cold this morning, but we finished up the last big project of the year with the help of the soldiers at Scott Air Force Base. These folks are amazing, coming – and even bringing their family out – in the bitter cold, volunteering their precious time. Thanks just doesn’t seem enough to say. The homeowner was very happy with the results. Thanks always to the Agency for Community Transit for your support.
