Electrical & Floor Repairs for Single Mom
November 19th, 2023

BEFORE

AFTER
We finished up a big project over the weekend. The homeowner is a single mom, trying to juggle work, taking care of her kids and struggling to care of her home, all on a teacher’s salary. She reached out to us for help with her dryer – which had almost caught on fire due [to] an electrical issue, and her kitchen flooring – which was falling apart and unsafe. The floor was so bad, she put [her closet doors] down over the unsafe parts so that her kids wouldn’t fall through. We installed two layers of 3/4″ plywood and also underlayment before we installed the waterproof vinyl plank flooring.
She was extremely happy with the results. The kids came in and were dancing around on the new flooring, they were so excited.

We did a quick wheelchair ramp for a local homeowner today. She had a recent stroke and is still unable to walk. We used tapcons to secure the ramp to the concrete. It turned out great. This will make it easier for her daughters to help her out of her home. Thanks to the Agency for Community Transit for your continued support.

We did a small porch project today for a homeowner who saw one of our posts and contacted us for assistance. The old porch was in really rough shape. The wood was rotting and falling apart in some places. We were happy to tear it down and build a new one from scratch! It turned out very nice…thanks Judy for your help.

We did a small project this morning. A homeowner had a basement flood and it rotted out the first step of her stairway. We completely rebuilt the bottom step, allowing her to safely get down to her basement. It turned out great.
